Performance and Climate Change?

This article from the Boston Globe, citing a study from the National Bureau of Economic Research, has some more bad news about climate change. The study looked at how candidates performed on college entrance exams on days when the weather was bad. Not only did students do worse on the exams, but this led to reduced matriculation in college and even lower lifetime wages. If one of the results of climate change is crazy weather patterns, this could have some widespread consequences in education, workplace productivity, or who knows what else.

My Take:

If one of the results of climate change is crazy weather patterns, this could have some widespread consequences in education, workplace productivity, or who knows what else. Imagine if performance is degraded on bad weather days and half of our days become the bad ones.

Your Turn:

Is this a legitimate concern? How could it affect your workplace? Or the systems you design? Can you think of any ways to mitigate the problem that you can share with the rest of us?
