Future Visions of User Experience

Today’s post is a little self-serving so I want to get my disclosure out right away. As the founder of User Experience Day at the HFES Conference, I personally hope that you all come to our technical sessions, professional development workshops, and social events.

User Experience Day 2014 is a dedicated track of programming specifically geared for UX professionals. The objective is to deliver a great program of technical sessions and networking opportunities for all attendees. This is a very good chance to make personal connections with a wide variety of UX professionals from around the world.

With that out of the way, I want to highlight one of our sessions – called Future Visions of User Experience. The idea of the session is to bring together a panel of leading thinkers in a variety of domains and have them present their visions for what the world will look like in 20, 30, or 50 years. Since I am hosting the session, I had the pleasure to preview what each of the visionaries will be presenting. I can say for certain that you need to come to this session. There are some great ideas that will be presented in education, health care, media, and transportation (check this). If you will be in Chicago on Wednesday the 29th, come over to UX Day at 10:30am. If you can’t make it, there should be some live tweeting at the session so follow hashtag #UXDay2014.
